Group Visits

Special facilities such as the Ceramic Craft Studio, a tea house, and parking spaces for large buses are available to enrich visitors’ experiences at the Museum. For schools, see the “For Schools” section under “Educational Programs”.

Use of coupons (information for travel agents; this service requires application in advance)

Coupons for visiting the Museum can be acquired by travel agents.
・Payment for the visit will be invoiced after the day of the visit, with a 10% discount.
・Even if there were fewer visitors than the number of coupons issued, no cancellation fee will be charged.

Guided tour by a curator (for travel agents and groups; this service requires application in advance)

By submitting an application in advance, a guided tour of the Museum can be arranged. Please contact the Somu-ka (General Affairs Section) of the Museum in advance to set dates and times and itinerary details (Telephone: +81-561-84-7474).

Use of museum facilities by groups (this service requires application in advance)

Under certain conditions, the following facilities of the Main Gallery, Design Aichi Gallery (formerly “Minami-kan”), and Ceramic Craft Studio can be used by groups for meetings, meals, and other purposes during any time slots not scheduled for other uses by the Museum.

Auditorium (the first basement floor of the Main Gallery)

218 seats (fixed chairs)
Note: No eating or drinking permitted. Microphones and two display boards for posters are available.

Multi-purpose Hall (open space on the Main Gallery’s first floor)

Two spaces (one in classroom style with 63 seats and another in cafe style with 40 seats) are available.
Note: Eating and drinking are permitted but no parties are allowed.

Conference Room (on the Main Gallery’s third floor)

12 two-seat tables (24 seats).
Note: Eating and drinking are permitted. A whiteboard is available.

Gallery (Gallery 8)

Gallery 8, one of the exhibition rooms in the Main Gallery, is available for rent.
Individual and group exhibitions (ceramics and non-ceramics) can be held in this room, which is equipped with exhibit cases, pedestals, lighting, and other professional display items that only a museum specializing in ceramics can offer.
Either the entire room or half of the room can be rented.
Fees:
The entire room: 11,800 yen/day
Half of the room: 5,800 yen/day

About Tea House “To-sui an”

The Tea House “To-sui an” is located on the museum premises and features two traditional Japanese rooms (8-mat and 4.5-mat).
They can be used for practicing the tea ceremony, Japanese poetry writing, photo shoots, and other group activities.
